Mason Kerwick is a publicist and filmmaker based in Austin, Texas. He expressed an early interest in filmmaking after appearing in a CBS miniseries while still in pre-school. At 13, he executive produced a short film starring Lorelei Linklater and directed his first original narrative through an Austin Film Society class. A mentee of Kat Candler’s, he was featured in her Austin Chronicle cover story. His next narrative short won the Grand Prize at the 2012 Silverscreen Film Festival. After earning a journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Mason spent a year travelling the country as a spokesperson for Planters. In 2014, a story on NPR profiled his first few weeks on the road with Mr. Peanut. Mason currently works as a publicist for boutique communications firm lookthinkmake.
